It has been a long and difficult year for Wonho but the idol has proven he can rise up against all odds. Back in October 2019, Lee Hoseok made the painful decision to leave MONSTA X due to several personal controversies that threatened to affect the boy group.

Since then, Wonho has been cleared of all drug charges and has been working to redeem himself in the industry. And today, he finally launched his solo debut with the release of his first mini-album Love Synonym #1: Right For Me as well as the official MV for the lead track "Open Mind."

Wonho's return to the industry has already been teased back in May when he was signed by Highline Entertainment, a subsidiary of Starship Entertainment. Lee Hoseok would work as a solo artist and producer for the new company and it didn't take long before he would get his own social media accounts as well as a fandom name.

It would only be a matter of time before Wonho would debut as a solo artist and it looks like his first album Love Synonym #1: Right For Me does not disappoint.

The music video for "Open Mind" was released on Wonho's official YouTube account and it displays the idol getting ready for a date. This is spliced with scenes of Lee Hoseok dancing alone and with dancers beside him.

Overall, the MV exudes a sexy confident air that suits Wonho's style. Needless to say, Wenees are loving the new music video that confirms Wonho is back and he's ready to take on the world.

Although "Open Mind" is the lead track from Love Synonym #1: Right For Me, it isn't the first song that was released from Wonho's first album. In mid-August, Lee Hoseok delivered the haunting MV for "Losing You", a song that he admitted was dedicated to all the fans who supported him during troubled times.

"This is a love song, but also I would say it is [about] the love and appreciation I have for my fans as well," Wonho said. "I'm here today because of them, and the thought of losing them was the hardest thing I could think of."

In addition to "Open Mind" and "Losing You" which both have English and Korean versions, Love Synonym #1: Right For Me includes "i just", "Lost In Paradise", "Interlude: Runway" and "WITH YOU". The mini-album is now available.
