Cardi B was involved in a strip club brawl two years ago. The “WAP” rapper and her group reportedly hurled two drinking glasses and a hookah pipe at a pair of bartender sisters Jade and Baddie Gi, whom she believed had sexual affairs with her husband, Offset.

Two months later, police charged Cardi B with assault and reckless endangerment over the incident. She has since been court-ordered to stay away from Jade and Baddie Gi. Now, a new report revealed that the Queen’s prosecutors are running out of patience with the 27-year-old rapper, songwriter, television personality, and actress.

Talks about a plea deal had been going on since early 2019 until today. Cardi B’s legal team initially rejected the offer over a year ago. However, Assistant District Attorney Ryan Nicolosi noted that the clock is ticking for the artist.

“The People are offering for the last time an offer of a misdemeanor. … We are not going to go lower than a misdemeanor. We are again offering this misdemeanor but we cannot guarantee that that offer will be held open or offered again in the future,” he said during the virtual hearing. Cardi B and her two co-defendants didn’t attend the proceeding.

Ryan Nicolosi admitted that it seemed unlikely that a deal could be struck in this case. “There doesn’t seem to be a meeting of the minds,” he shared.

Cardi B has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Lawyers for the rapper and her two pals who allegedly got in on the attack during the strip club brawl told Ryan Nicolosi that they would tell the defendants about the plea offer having a possible expiration date.

For now, Cardi B is free as a bird. However, her freedom relies on what is going to be settled in court. The “Please Me" singer’s camp needs to come up with a decision before the plea deal expires.

Cardi B has not addressed anything regarding the matter as of this writing.

The whole mess started when Cardi B suspected one of the sisters having an affair with her husband. The rapper lost her cool after seeing Jade and Baddie Gi and was caught on video throwing an ice bucket at them. Offset’s band was performing at the strip club on the night of the fight.

In December 2018, Cardi B took to Instagram to announce that she and Offset are splitting up. The news shocked a lot of fans as the pair just welcomed their baby girl months before the rapper’s post.
