A safe was stolen from the late Goo Hara's house and the culprit could be someone she knew.

According to a report by Soompi, Dispatch broke the news of the burglary on October 12. However, the crime took place in January.

In the report, Goo Hara's brother Goo Ho In said that he believes that the culprit was familiar with the house. He said that the perpetrator seemed to be someone who knew the layout of Goo Hara's house and details like connecting doors that were kept unlocked.

Goo Hara's brother said that the culprit also knew that the safe was kept inside an unlocked dressing room.

Goo Ho In and Goo Hara's friend, identified only as "K" were the only ones who knew the new passcode to the house. However, the burglar tried to use the old one to get inside.

According to K, they first noticed that the safe was missing back in April. Hara's brother also noticed that the CCTV's view seemed to have been tampered with to obscure the culprit's identity.

Unfortunately, despite furnishing the police with a copy of the CCTV footage, authorities have not made a breakthrough in the case apart from the culprit's general features.

According to Goo Ho In's lawyer, the case was reported to authorities in May but the lack of concrete leads about the perpetrator has become a major setback for the investigation. He said that they are also clueless about the contents of the safe.

Based on the CCTV footage, the suspect stood at 175 centimeters or around 5 feet and nine inches. Goo Hara's family is also asking for tips and leads to help authorities.

It can be recalled that Goo Hara passed away last year at the age of 28. Hara's death was controversial because it came just a month after the death of her good friend Sulli.

Both stars were believed to have taken their own lives due to the pressures of fame. In Goo Hara's case, fans believed that her case against her former boyfriend was the main reason for her depression.

It can be recalled that in 2018, Goo Hara filed a lawsuit against her former lover after he threatened to release intimate videos of her to damage her career.

On November 24, her family and fans will commemorate her first death anniversary. Her former boyfriend Choi Jong Bum was also sentenced to prison with no suspension, Soompi reported.
