For several weeks, "Call of Duty: Mobile" teased the Overkill perk with a lot of fans hopeful for its release. A few months ago, the perk's icon was added to the hit battle royale game, although the devs kept it locked. Interestingly, since the arrival of "Call of Duty: Mobile's" Anniversary Update, the Overkill icon has been unexpectedly removed.

The long-awaited Overkill perk is not included in the latest patch notes of "Call of Duty: Mobile" Anniversary Update. This could mean many things, but it seems that the perk would not be available in the game just yet. Tencent has not made any comments on the reason behind the removal or non-inclusion of the Overkill perk in the list.

Several "Call of Duty: Mobile" players believed that the game is going through some balancing changes. By default, the Overkill perk enables players to swap their secondary weapons and instead carry an extra primary weapon. It is typical for players to wield a combination of an assault rifle and sniper rifle to have weapons for any kind of situation.

Although the Overkill perk disappeared in "Call of Duty: Mobile," devs introduced the Restock perk. It is some kind of a utility perk that automatically recharges equipment over 25 seconds. However, unlike the Overkill perk, Restock is much weaker and sees less usage among players.

The Anniversary update in "Call of Duty: Mobile" is anticipated to introduce a lot of fresh content. New operators, blueprints and a special Anniversary event are rolling out to the game. Halloween events are also expected to be released very soon.

These new events in "Call of Duty: Mobile" would introduce special cosmetics and game modes to make October a month worth remembering for "COD: Mobile" players. Several changes on the game's perks that fans did not notice were rolled out with the Anniversary Update.

Tactician was introduced to "Call of Duty: Mobile." This provides players the ability to wield an extra piece of tactical equipment. Launcher Plus was also added to the final perk slot. This offers players the ability to include single reserve ammunition to all of their launchers.

Activision also teased new contents in the fresh Battle Pass of "Call of Duty: Mobile." The team behind the hit shooter game promised to reveal more details about the upcoming content moving forward.

"Call of Duty: Mobile" is a free to play game available on iOS and Android devices.
