Fans are now waiting for Deca Dence Season 2 after the previous season ended with a major cliffhanger. With its promising storyline, not to mention superb visual imagery, will there be a renewal coming?

Based on the apocalyptic world of Deca-Dence, it features the battle between humans and monsters. It revolves around the main protagonist Kaburagi, who used to be a great warrior that lost his interest to fight. But, when he met Natsume, everything changed.

With its stellar production, it has an extra edge than the usual anime series seen today. Its story manages to make everyone engaged, earning a huge following and massive fan base worldwide. With its success, will Kadokawa finally renew the anime series?

Kadokawa first announced the coming of Deca Dence Season 1 in July 2019, Video Tape News noted. Just after a year, it dropped its 12 episodes that ended in September.

This anime series marked the first original anime works of NUT studio, which produced the anime adaptation of The Sage of Tanya the Evil. It is also known for creating the successful Isekai anime, Youjo Senki, which became a big hit after its release, receiving high ratings from different platforms.

However, despite its success, the studio only followed it with a sequel movie after the end of its first season, The Cinemaholic reported. Will Deca Dence Season 2 suffers the same fate?

Nut may not be eager to release new installments of its anime series. However, with its positive response and excellent performance, it may be safe to assume a new season will soon come.

Unfortunately, barely a month since the first season ended, there is no official announcement about Deca Dence Season 2 yet. Suppose the studio plans do a new season. In that case, its creators, Sho Tanaka, Tachikawa Yuzuru, and Hiroshi Seko, have a lot of source materials to adapt, knowing the title is an original anime.

Rumors have it the anime series may never have a second installment. But, with its overall viewership and ratings, a new season may be announced. It is even described as a mash-up of Mortal Engines and Attack on Titan.

Written by Hiroshi Seko and directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa, it will be no surprise if they will soon work for Deca Dence Season 2. If they do, fans may finally see the return of Kaburagi and the rest of the gang on the small screen sometime in 2022.
