Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been together for five years, which is considered to be a very long time in Hollywood. With their maturity and age, it seems like the most natural next step to their relationship is marriage.

With Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's romance going stronger by the minute, many expected the couple to be married by now — but they are not. Now, a report claimed that the 51-year-old singer, songwriter, record producer, and fashion designer’s patience to get that ring is running out.

This week’s headline of In Touch read: “Gwen Walks Out On Blake.” A source of the tabloid claimed that the couple had a “huge” argument after the “Happy Anywhere” singer wrote a sweet birthday message to the mother-of-three on Instagram.

“They’ve been dating for five years, and Gwen really thought Blake was going to finally propose on her birthday. But he didn’t, and that’s when things got heated,” they said.

The source alleged that Gwen Stefani asked Blake Shelton why he’s not taking their relationship to the next level, and the country crooner confessed that he has no plans on marrying her at all.

Blake Shelton has two failed marriages under his belt, and it seemed to have affected his view on marriage. Since things are going well between him and Gwen Stefani, he appeared to not want to ruin it by marrying her, fearing it will have the same outcome.

Because of the failed proposal on her birthday, Gwen Stefani allegedly “ran off” and Blake Shelton called her over and over again, asking for forgiveness after she didn’t return for hours.

Gossip Cop quickly slammed the report, stating that there is no truth to the claims. It noted that the In Touch story is more like a “soap opera or cheesy romance novel” than reality.

The site added that Gwen Stefani recently told People that she and her three sons are enjoying their time in their new LA home with Blake Shelton. The singer also shared that they just “did Halloween decorating and cookies.”

Gossip Cop pointed out that Gwen’s revelation sounded like genuine happiness and not a woman who was angry about a failed proposal.

Meanwhile, most celebrity couples decided to call it quits due to their conflicting schedules. But, for Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, their job actually led them to spend more time together.

The couple met at the set of The Voice, where they both serve as coaches on the show. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton struck a friendship, and romance eventually blossomed between the two.
