Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's new home in Montecito, California used to be rented out to production crews for $700 (£538) an hour for video and photoshoots. The house had a listing on Giggster, a rental site, but it has since been taken down upon the discovery of the advertisement.

According to Hello, the Giggster ad listed Prince Harry and Meghan's mansion for rent for up to 10 hours a day. The arrangement also provided a space for a crew of 15 and a parking slot for up to 50 cars.

Labeled as an "Italian villa," the rental conditions disallowed pets, smoking, cooking and alcohol. The mansion was also off-limits to "adult filming."

Harry and Meghan snapped up the property in June after looking for a more permanent home since their arrival in California in March. Previously, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were staying at a Beverly Hills mansion owned by producer and actor Tyler Perry but they decided to leave Los Angeles for the peace and quiet in the Montecito community.

A source said that Harry and Meghan could not get the privacy they craved while staying in Los Angeles. Things turned for the better when they moved an hour's drive away to Montecito, where everything is much more relaxed.

Another source told People that no one bothers Harry and Meghan because most of the people in Montecito are also high-profile and quite used to the affluent life. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex could enjoy a semblance of normalcy as they go on solo dates or dine out with friends around the neighborhood.

Some few weeks after they moved into the posh community, however, paparazzi tried to track down Harry and Meghan for that money shot. However, Montecito residents, who also have their own bodyguards and protection officers, vowed not to let the tabloid press photographers overrun their town.

Meanwhile, fans of the Sussex could sometimes get a glimpse of their multimillion home when Harry and Meghan do their virtual conferences and video interviews from one of the house's many rooms.  They've also filmed TV appearances and other virtual talks from their lush outdoor backyard.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Montecito mansion has nine rooms, 16 bathrooms, its own tennis court, library, sauna room, arcade and movie theater, wine cellar, outdoor pool and kiddie playground. There is a separate house in which they turned into a space for Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, who sometimes babysits her grandson, Archie Harrison.
