K-pop groups have particular titles for the members. There’s the leader, main vocals, main, dancer, main visuals, and more. As for BLACKPINK, they don’t really have a specific one for their group.
A K-pop group usually has a leader to take the most responsibility, like giving speeches, greetings, etc. But, BLACKPINK doesn’t have a leader. Many previously thought that Jennie is the leader because she’s usually the one speaking with the host during international interviews.
But, the main reason why Jennie is speaking on behalf of the group abroad is because she’s fluent in English. While Rose and Lisa are also fluent in the language, they are not as talkative or vocal as Jennie. The girls explained that they have been training together for a long time, so they prefer to go together without setting a leader as they feel more like friends than a group.
As for the visuals, all girls are very beautiful, but BLACKPINK has an official one, and that title goes to Jisoo. However, during the girls’ recent appearance in Running Man, Rose revealed that she has a different member in mind that she considers to be the prettiest one in the group.
BLACKPINK joined the Running Man cast in many activities, and one of those was the “truth game.” The participants wore cat ears that move when it detects a change in emotions.
During Rose’s turn, So Min asked her if she thinks that she’s the prettiest in BLACKPINK. Without hesitation, the 23-year-old singer replied, “Of course.” (Watch the clip here). Basing on her cat ears, the cast revealed that she meant what she said.
The camera then panned to the other BLACKPINK members to see their reaction to Rose’s answer. Main visual Jisoo gasped and smiled widely, while Jennie’s eyes widened. Lisa couldn’t help herself and laughed out loud and clapped her hands.
While everyone else had extreme reactions to Rose’s very honest opinion, the BLACKPINK star remained calm and collected. It just goes to show that she’s confident with her visuals, and she doesn’t need a title to confirm that she’s pretty.
But, Rose is not the only one who thinks that she’s the prettiest member of BLACKPINK. When Jennie asked Lee Kwang Soo if who he thinks is the prettiest one in the group, he also picked Rose. After hearing his response, Jenne’s cat ears began to move, and the cast pointed it out, so the rapper jokingly got mad at Lee Kwang Soo for not picking her. (Watch the clip here).
