Lisa is one of the most popular artists in K-pop. The BLACKPINK star has all the qualities needed to be a successful idol. To top everything off, Lisa has a pretty face.

It’s no secret that not all K-pop stars are born from South Korea. Some of these popular idols are from Japan, the U.S., China, etc. As for Lisa, she is from Thailand.

That said, Lisa’s beauty is different from most female idols, making her stand out in a good way. To emphasize her features, the BLACKPINK rapper revealed that she had been a huge fan of makeup since she was a young girl. However, she shared that she truly “fell in love with makeup” after she debuted with BLACKPINK.

Visuals are very important in the K-pop world, which is why most idols change their looks every comeback to gain attention. YG Entertainment has assigned stylists and makeup experts to transform their artists into a fashion icon.

But, Lisa researches for her own looks and proposes the makeup that she wanted to try to her stylists. “When we release a new album or when I’m on set for a magazine, I enjoy suggesting a makeup look that I’ve always wanted to try,” she said.

With Lisa’s visuals and amazing makeup style, it didn’t take long for MAC Cosmetics to appoint her as its Global Brand Ambassador. The 23-year-old singer-dancer admitted that she had been a longtime fan of the brand, and the first product that she ever used from their collection was a lip product. Now, she is an endorser of the MAC Cosmetics Powder Kiss lip product line.

While Lisa has tried a lot of lip colors throughout her career, she revealed that her “all-time favorite” for everyday use is MAC’s “Mull It Over.” But, if she wants to enhance her skin tone, the YG Entertainment artist’s go-to lip color is MAC’s reddish-brown shade called “Make Love to the Camera.”

Despite her love for makeup, Lisa shared that real beauty is more than just having a gorgeous face. The BLACKPINK star said that she believes “beauty comes from one’s confident inner self and attitude,” and that makeup is just a “cherry on top.”

Meanwhile, looks are indeed a big deal in K-pop as these stylings are sometimes criticized for a number of reasons. In fact, YG Entertainment received backlash over Jennie’s outfit in BLACKPINK’s latest music video, “Lovesick Girls.”

Jennie was wearing a nurse outfit in one of the scenes, which angered the Korean Health and Medical Workers' Union. YG Entertainment, later, apologized and promised to take the scenes out of the music video.
