An edited video of presidential candidate Joe Biden looking like he has forgotten where he is has gone viral.

Since the video was uploaded it has been viewed more than a million times.

The video shows Biden addressing a crowd, saying "Hello, Minnesota!" However, the background of the video showed signs that made it look like the campaign had taken place in Tampa, Florida.

Biden's camp said in a statement that the campaign had taken place in St. Paul, Minnesota, but the editor of the video had replaced the signs to make it look like it was Florida. Apart from the signs, the onstage banners were also replaced digitally to make it look like Florida.

The original video was uploaded by an unidentified user on Twitter, accusing Biden of forgetting what state he was in. One version of the video that was retweeted by another user had more than 1.1 million views in fewer than 24 hours.

Twitter placed a "manipulated media" label on the video circulating on its platform Sunday. The video was then deleted just a few minutes later.

President Donald Trump's campaign has been caught pushing misleading videos before but it isn't known if it was behind this fake. Trump's campaign has repeatedly said Biden was not mentally fit to be president.

In March, Trump's campaign promoted a video online that showed Biden endorse Trump as the next president. It was later found out that the video was manipulated. In August, a video of Biden falling asleep during an interview was shared by White House social media director Dan Scavino. It was later proved that the interview never actually happened.

Similar videos were uploaded in the months that followed. One video showed Biden seemingly forgetting the Pledge of Allegiance while another video showed Biden saying that he was running against George Bush.

During a Trump event last week, campaign supporters repeatedly cited the edited videos as proof Biden wasn't mentally fit to be president.
