Prince Harry apparently struck a friendship with President-Elect Joe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden for almost seven years following his first meeting with the soon-to-be First Lady of the United States in Colorado.

Harry was in the same event at the Warrior Games in the Centennial State in 2013 with Jill. His experience at this sports competition became his inspiration to create his own Paralympics for the sick, wounded, and injured former servicemen.

Upon the launch of the very first Invictus Games the following year, the Bidens, along with President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, were some of Harry's most important supporters. According to Hello, Jill even went to London in 2014 to root for the U.S. Paralympics team, as well as show support for the Duke of Sussex.

By the next Invictus Games in 2016 in Orlando, Florida, the Bidens were also at the event and were seen cheering in the audience while seated next to Prince Harry. The former vice-president also cracked a joke about how much his wife spent time with the royal during the inaugural Invictus Games.

The Bidens have always paid tribute to war veterans because they consider themselves a military family. Their son, Beau, was assigned in Iraq but he died of brain cancer in May 2015.

By 2017, Joe, Jill and Harry would reunite again for the Invictus Games in Toronto. At that same event, Harry publicly showed off his new girlfriend, American TV actress, Meghan Markle. In 2019, Joe tweeted his congratulations to Harry and Meghan for the birth of their son, Archie.

Thus, it didn't escape the observation of political pundits that Prince Harry's recent statements about rejecting fake news and hate speech online, along with Meghan's call to vote, had political color. Some saw it as an endorsement of Biden and a rejection of President Donald Trump despite Harry and Meghan never publicly naming or endorsing a candidate.

But, political commentator Tom Rogan said Prince Harry's "endorsement" of Biden was "the height of arrogance" because it went against Queen Elizabeth's lead and example. The monarch is known for staying apolitical and so the rest of the royal family have also never expressed their stance on political issues.

Rogan also compared Harry's usefulness to the Democrats as akin to the "iceberg on the Titanic." The public will always see him as a blood prince, who shouldn't be talking politics at all even if he's friends with a lot of important personalities.
