The "League of Legends: Wild Rift" beta is currently available in some countries in Southeast Asia, but these limited numbers of players recently reported encountering login error that prevented them from gaining access to the game.

If you are one of the many "League of Legends: Wild Rift" players currently experiencing an error while attempting to log into the game, Riot Games has an explanation of why this is happening. Getting the 'Login timed out please try again' error message means that the player's device could not connect to the mobile MOBA title's in-game servers.

Riot Games has not yet released an official statement about this, but there could be lots of reasons for this error to appear on the player's screen. One of the potential reasons could be due to blocked VPN service access. Riot Games recently announced that players outside of the current "League of Legends: Wild Rift" open beta regions would not be able to access the game if they are using a VPN.

The gaming studio decided to crack down the VPN's among "League of Legends: Wild Rift" players for several reasons. Among these are login problems, lag issues and language barriers. Interestingly, Riot Games said that only the highest volume VPN services are blocked from being able to access cross-region.

However, "League of Legends: Wild Rift" players who are residing within the open beta regions could still use VPN and gain access to the hit mobile MOBA game without any problem. Aside from the VPN crackdown by Riot, another possible reason for getting the login error is due to network stability issues. "League of Legends: Wild Rift" is an online game and having a good and stable internet connection is a must.

Players still experiencing the login error should make sure that their internet is working correctly. Some areas that are experiencing typhoons and power outages usually experience this kind of error. If the internet connection is not working fine, try switching off the connection, resetting the modem or WiFi router and restart. Players could also restart their mobile phones.

"League of Legends: Wild Rift" open beta is currently available in Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Timor-Leste, and Thailand. Riot games promised that more areas would get access to the open beta starting the end of 2020 and throughout 2021. Hopeful "League of Legends: Wild Rift" players in the U.S. could get their hands on the game's open beta in the Spring of 2021.
