miHoYo rolled out on Nov. 11, the first major update of "Genshin Impact" called A New Star Approaches. The latest update features a lot of contents that introduced new characters, weapons, quests and many more. Here are the essential changes in the game that players should take note of.

miHoyo detailed all the changes introduced by the first major update of "Genshin Impact" on its official patch notes. Players receive two batches of 300 primogems as miHoYo's way of apologizing for the inconvenience caused by the recent maintenance and bugs version 1.0.

New Characters

Four new playable characters consist of two 5-star and two 4-star available in "Genshin Impact." These new characters are Childe (5-Star Hydro), Diano (4-Star Cryo), Zhongli (5-Star Geo) and Xinyan (4-Star Pyro Claymore).

New Weapons

Aside from new characters, new weapons are now available in the hit RPG game. This includes Memory of Dust, a 5-Star Catalyst, Vortex Vanquisher, a 5-Star Polearm, The Unforged, a 5-Star Claymore and Royal Spear, a 4-Star Polearm.

"Farewell of Snezhnaya" Wish

The "Farewell of Snezhaya" Wish event is the first event introduced by update 1.1 in "Genshin Impact." It provides increased Wish drop rates for the 5-star character Childe Tartaglia, the 4-star character "Kätzlein Cocktail," "Eclipsing Star" Ningguang, and "Uncrowned Lord of Ocean" Beidou.

New Quests

The new Archon Quests is now available in "Genshin Impact," with version 1.1 update featuring the Liyue chapter's finale. The Archon Quest marks Chapter 1: Act III of the game. As for the Story Quest, the update introduces a couple of new story quests for players; these are the Monoceros Caeli Chapter: Act I - Mighty Cyclops and would be followed by Story Quest Historia Antiqua Chapter: Act I - Sal Flore later.

There are all-new world quests that "Genshin Impact" players can enjoy with the new update. This includes The Adventurers' Guild's Affairs, Necessary Procedures, Words Worth Their Weight in Mora, Changchang's Little Friend, The Secret of Nantianmen, An Ode to Yonder City, and Endless Research. All these world quests offer Character EXP materialism Mora and other rewards when completed.

Reputation System

As earlier revealed by miHoyo, the new Reputation System applies with the arrival of Update 1.1 on "Genshin Impact." When the player reaches Adventure Rank 25, they will be presented with a series of quests that unlocks the Reputation System divided into Liyue Reputation and Mondstadt Reputation. Special rewards are given as players increase Reputation Level through completion of Requests, Region Quests, World Exploration and Bounties.
