"Demon's Souls" Remake is finally out on Sony's PS5 and unlike other games, it is quite challenging and, at times, esoteric. Even veteran gamers could easily lose tons of health to regular enemies early on in the game in the blink of an eye. In this guide, players could learn some tips and tricks on how to heal, restore health fast and gain their humanity back in "Demon's Souls" Remake.

Just like other "Souls" titles, the remake currently available on PS5 features a mechanic that takes away the players' humanity when they die. To make the game a little bit challenging, players have less health to use. There are ways to achieve all these, but it is essential that players know what's at stake when they do these.

How To Regain Humanity

When a player dies in human form in "Demon's Souls" Remake, he loses his humanity. As a result, he starts playing with lesser health, turns his world to Black Tendency, and faces more challenging enemies. There are four ways to get the player's humanity back.

These are by killing a boss, becoming a Black Phantom and killing a player, using the Stone of Ephemeral Eyes, and helping a player defeat a boss as Blue Phantom. It is important that when the player kills a boss, he must take its Demon's Soul to gain his humanity back. Using a Stone of Ephemeral Eyes allows the player to regain his humanity and get 100% health.

How to Heal and Restore Full Health

"Demon's Souls" Remake players can restore health by equipping grass items on the item bar. To consume it and gain health, the player can press the Square button. If there are several types of grass items in the inventory, these could be equipped in the item slots. To cycle through these items, the player can just press down the-pad.

Grass items in "Demon's Souls" Remake includes Crescent Moon Grass that gives 120 HP, Half Moon Grass that yields 240 HP, Late Moon Grass that offers 400 HP, and Full Moon Grass gives 600 HP. Meanwhile, the New Moon Grass offers full health restoration, and the Dark Moon Grass provides full restoration and cures all ailments.

Players could also use healing miracles to heal up in "Demon's Souls" Remake. To use miracles, the player just needs to equip a talisman to his left or right hand. He must also equip the right miracle by pressing up on the d-pad and press the L1 or R1 button to utilize it. Spells and miracles use up the player's blue focus bar, so he needs to take caution when using them.

"Demon's Souls" Remake is exclusively available on the PS5.
