RM has a very cool and intimidating title - the “God of Destruction.” However, the BTS star didn’t earn that name because he beats his opponents without mercy, but because he destroys almost everything that he touches.
Even though RM always looks elegant and put together, he is actually very clumsy. The BTS leader would break things from cheap stuff to expensive ones, and his recent victim has a very hefty price tag.
On November 24, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook stayed up late to watch the announcement of the 2021 list of Grammy nominees. The BTS boys looked extremely nervous. The “Persona” rapper even held onto Jimin and Jungkook’s legs when the nominees for the “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” category were announced.
When it was officially revealed that BTS was nominated for the Grammys, RM, Jimin, and Jungkook exploded with excitement! The trio automatically stood up and screamed while V was frozen in his seat in disbelief.
What some people may have missed during the whole chaotic scene was that RM tossed his Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 aside after the Grammy announcement. Luckily, the phone, which approximately costs around $1,999.99, landed on the couch.
A lot of hearts certainly stopped after seeing the moment. While RM is wealthy enough to purchase a new phone any time of the day, ARMYs couldn’t help but feel nervous when they saw the costly phone being thrown like that.
A day after BTS uploaded their Grammy nomination reaction video on Twitter, Samsung retweeted the clip on the social media platform, congratulating RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook for their Grammy nomination.
The company then shared an update regarding the phone-tossing incident. “P.S. No #GalaxyZFold2 was harmed in the excitement,” it wrote. As it turns out, RM’s “God of Destruction” moment was a great PR opportunity for Samsung. It even concluded its tweet with the hashtag “#GalaxyxBTS.”
But RM doesn’t only break or carelessly damage things that he touches. Even stable items, such as a camera, is not safe with the BTS star. In Run BTS! Episode 116, the boys played some arcade games during their break.
RM had his eyes on the basketball arcade game the whole time, and he kept trying to beat the high score. There was a camera mounted in front of the machine to capture the member’s faces while playing.
While shooting some hoops, RM knocked the camera off, prompting J-Hope to ask how can he possibly hit it.
