Snowfall season 4 is not coming until the spring of 2021 on FX. The crime drama has encountered many setbacks this year, with filming delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the wait, fans have been getting some updates as to what lies in the upcoming installment.
When Snowfall season 4 arrives, Franklin Saint's (Damson Idris) past will be explored. Some of the things that happened in his life before will be addressed, and certain people will show up. In fact, a particular person from his past is coming back into his life.
In a recent report from Deadline, it was confirmed that Adrianna Mitchell is joining the series as Tanosse. The character is the former friend and lover of Franklin's who has "an inherent sensuality about her." She grew up in the same neighborhood, but the two haven't seen each other for a while.
Tanosse older brother was in prison, but he used to be a drug kingpin in the 70s. Also, she's described as having a "working-class sophistication," as well as "charm and slight edge about her." However, it's uncertain whether or not she could be trusted.
Franklin's past has been explored before, but the series hasn't really introduced some of the people in his life before. Tanosse's arrival could lead to something more, and she could have a huge part in his journey in Snowfall season 4.
He has been through a lot over the past three seasons, having suffered many losses. Franklin is not the same person viewers met in the beginning as his experiences in life shaped him. With the presence of Tanosse, there's a chance that he's going to show a different side of him that wasn't shown before.
In addition to Mitchell, the new season will also introduce another new character. Antonio Jaramillo plays the recurring player named Oscar Fuentes. He will be the new chief of Tijuana Police and described as bold, ambitious, smart, and dangerous.
Meanwhile, Snowfall season 4 won't be referencing the pandemic given that the series was set in the past. But then, the current global health crisis has hugely impacted how the show is being filmed. A lot of health guidelines and protocols were implemented.
The upcoming installment could feature fewer group scenes to comply with the proper social distancing measures. The cast and crew were also wearing masks behind the scenes to ensure everyone's safety.
