Something tragic is about to happen in Boruto Chapter 53. As the battle between Naruto and Isshiki continues, fans are now casting the best theories that they have.
It has been said over again that either Sasuke or Naruto will meet his demise in Boruto Chapter 53. Someone has to sacrifice his life, so fans have to wait and see who it will be.
So, expect a lot of things to happen in the next chapter. Kawaki will get the karma seal, while the root of Boruto's eye scar will finally reveal.
Also, there may be a time skip after the chapter ends, BlockToro noted. However, with the slew of assumptions that may happen here, it looks like fans have forgotten Kashin Koji and his possible return.
Koji may help to stop the fight between Naruto and Isshiki. The Konohagakure's Uzumaki clan's shinobi may try to halt the villain whatever it takes, knowing he only has 10 minutes to live.
Fearing for his father's life, Boruto will let Momoshiki take control of him as only an Otsutsuki can stop its kind. Hence, fans may see more about the lore of Otsutsuki culture in Boruto Chapter 53.
There may be more flashbacks about Isshiki and Momoshiki. From here, Koji may make an appearance, as no one has seen him dying.
Koji is Jiraiya's close that gives him a special connection to Naruto and other Konoha people. He knows a lot of things about Isshiki, and it is also his goal to kill the Otsutsuki member.
So, fans should never be surprised if they see Kojin fight Isshiki to save Naruto in Boruto Chapter 53. Elsewhere, Isshiki plans to get Kawaki as his vessel.
However, it remains to be seen if this will push through or not. As he has successfully summoned Kawaka in the battlefield, there is a big chance it will happen.
In Boruto Chapter 52, "Baryon Mode," Naruto showed his new deadly mode, called Baryon," after he merged with Kurama. This mode increased his chakra consumption to inhuman levels, EpicDope cited.
However, it came with dire consequences, as he might die with its prolonged use, which made time of mere importance. Naruto managed to overpower Isshiki, while the latter was trying to spend the protagonist's time knowing it could lead to his death.
In the final battle, Isshiki connected to Kawaki through Naruto's chakra arm and successfully brought him to the battlefield. As all hopes seemed to be gone, Boruto went Ohtsutsuki again.
