MiHoYo announced that it plans to introduce a new region in "Genshin Impact" called Dragonspine, which is included in the latest update 1.2 rolling out to the hit gacha game on Dec. 23. Travelers will definitely enjoy a new area on the map with its tough challenges, but its icy temperature and frigid mountainous area introduce a new mechanic in the game called Sheer Cold. Here are some tips and tricks on how to stay warm in "Genshin Impact's" new Dragonspine region.

How To Stay Warm in Dragonspine Region of "Genshin Impact"

Siliconera identified four effective ways on how players could stave off Sheer Cold effects when they visit the new Dragonspine region in "Genshin Impact." The first way is by preparing and consuming Goulash. It is a meal made of two pieces of carrots, raw meat, and tomato.

Goulash could prevent players from freezing for 15 minutes. It can be earned in the upcoming quest titled "Ah, Fresh Meat!" For now, it is not yet known how far players have to travel into the new icy region to find it.

Aside from Goulash, "Genshin Impact" players can also use new blueprints to forge gadgets such as Warming Bottles to keep them warm momentarily. Additionally, Scarlet Quartz items could also be used to keep players warm. This item could be found in various areas and can give Travelers the power to destroy certain crystals.

Apart from those, all Statues of the Seven and waypoints are also perfect ways to keep players warm whenever they get close them. Pyro characters can also light fires and torches to survive the freezing cold of the upcoming region. MiHoYo also designed Warming Seelies replacing regular Seelies that offers heat to those who come near them.

Where is Dragonspine Located

The latest region arriving in "Genshin Impact" in a few days is located between the Dadaupa Gorge of Mondstadt and Mingyun Village of Liyue region. The place is home to Entombed City. On its outskirts, players can find Wyrmrest Valley, Starglow Cavern, Snow-Covered Path, Skyfrost Nail and an Ancient Palace. The new region has the Peak of Vindagnyr Domain, rich in Heart of Depth and Blizzard Slayer artifacts.

"Genshin Impact" Version 1.2 is also set to introduce a new winter event titled The Chalk Prince and the Dragon." The event is set in the new Dragonspine region and will be available to players with Adventure Rank 20 or above.
