Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez remains active on social media and continues to give updates to her fans and followers. On Friday, she informed the public about her COVID-19 vaccine shot and shared every step she took to complete the process.

Elle covered the Congresswoman's social media posts, which began in her announcement that the vaccine was available to the members of Congress as "part of the 'continuity of governance' plan," adding that it was "basically a national security measure." AOC, also, noted that she would "never advise" her followers to do something she was not willing to do for herself. Later on, she opened her Instagram account up for the public's questions regarding the vaccine shot and the steps to get it.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said that the first thing to do is fill out a questionnaire, which will ensure whether the vaccine's receiver is "OK" to take it. She accompanied the information with a photo of the form that has a total of seven questions, which are all answerable by yes, no, or "don't know."

She posted another photo of herself during the actual shot of the vaccine. AOC said that she took the one from Pfizer, which is "administered in two rounds," 21 days apart.

Some netizens asked why the COVID-19 vaccine has two doses. She explained that some vaccines need two shots "to build up the necessary immunity."

The Congresswoman continued that patients who took the shot were seated in a room for about 15 minutes for "precaution." Nurses, then, gave them vaccine cards to help the ones who administered the vaccine to keep track of the date of the first dose. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted a photo, as well, of the card to show to her followers how it looks.

AOC extended her hand to her followers on Twitter as she posted the same photos on the platform. She, also, included a link to her Instagram stories to lead her audience back to the original posts.

She ended her tweet by encouraging netizens to ask questions. Several of them gladly obliged to learn more about the vaccine and the process of getting the shots.

While the number of questions has since continued to increase, some Twitter users expressed their opinions about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the vaccine shot. Others, also, thanked her for sharing useful information about the matter.

The posts are "going to help a lot of people overcome their anxieties over the jab," one fan stated. "Thank you for giving us a window into the process," another Twitter user added.
