Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez previously shared how being a member of Congress is a demanding job. She said that it entails being "on-call 24/7," which makes the post a lot more challenging.

But, despite this, the 31-year-old American politician has something in store to keep up with her work. She revealed her thoughts and tips on how she stays "positive" and "productive" amid her busy days.

On Instagram's story feature, AOC said that she focuses "less on productivity," according to CNBC. She, instead, places importance on the "impact" of the tasks at hand.

The publication noted that the U.S. Representative often works until 10 in the evening. Although she would always have a long day, she said that she tries to "do less" all the time.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued that doing "a few things in a day," even if it is just one thing, is her preference. She seemingly believes that this is "better" than doing a lot of tasks out of "obligation."

Like the rest of the public, she used to accomplish duties and responsibilities because of the "guilt," knowing that it is her obligation. She, however, eventually learned that this "exhausted" and burnt her out.

Upon knowing how it negatively impacted her and her work ethic, she said that she changed things. It all, reportedly, started when she learned to say "no to everything," especially on matters that she did not invest in or initiate, 100 percent.

Balance The Grind released a profile on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez earlier this month. The article details her daily routine, including some of her interests and hobbies to "plug-out" from her stressful job.

Based on her assertions, she starts her day at 7 or 8 in the morning. She would, reportedly, "cuddle" first with her and her partner Riley Roberts' French bulldog, Deco.

AOC noted that drinking water is the "most important" part of her morning routine. If she does not need to go out as soon as possible, she would take her time to eat breakfast while reading The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, and the New Republic. But, if she does, she would stick with her meditation-like ritual, alongside her lemon water.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez typically goes out of her house between 9 and 9:30 in the morning. She walks to her office, wherein she spends the day, normally, without breaks.

She, then, always tries to finish her work at 6 in the evening. AOC said that she makes time for her gardening and strolling activities after dinner with friends or her partner. She, also, watches Selling Sunset at night, and if her schedule permits.

At 10 in the evening, she does a final round of social media and news checking. She turns off all of her lights afterward, and sleep soundly at 11:30 p.m. or midnight.
