Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have no plans of returning to their former life as working royals, and they are moving forward with new goals and a new mission in 2021, according to their biographer.

Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie told CNN that there have been several misconceptions about Harry and Meghan's future plans, especially with their review up with Queen Elizabeth. Scobie said that it would be easy for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to slide back into their royal duties. However, Scobie thinks this will unlikely be the next move for Harry and Meghan.

The royal expert said that the Sussex pair is "looking forward, rather than back" and will be busy with a lot of work for 2021. For starters, Harry and Meghan have a Netflix deal that will see them producing shows and documentaries that cover topics promoting their advocacy. Their first program is expected to be released on the streaming platform next year.

This holiday, the Sussex will launch their very first podcast show on Spotify. Both media deals are estimated to be in multi-millions, securing Harry and Meghan's future as financially independent from the royal family.

While some critics appear to downplay these deals, Finding Freedom co-author Carolyn Durand said that Harry is quite media savvy and has a sophisticated understanding of the industry can use to his advantage. On the other hand, Meghan grew up in show business and understood the power of the media.

But aside from their Netflix and Spotify deals, Harry and Meghan will also be busy with their new foundation, Archewell. The couple scored a partnership with World Central Kitchen, where they will help build four kitchen centers to feed the hungry and the food insecure at disaster-prone areas around the world.

The first two sites of the kitchen centers are going to be in Puerto Rico and the Dominican island. Two other areas will be named in 2021, but Harry and Meghan plan to build more if they could find other organizations to partner with.

On a personal level, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex bought a mansion in Montecito, California, where they plan to set their roots and raise their son, Archie Harrison. This means that Harry and Meghan are firm on staying in the United States for the long haul, but they will likely still visit the United Kingdom when the travel guidelines are better, post-COVID.
