These businesses have become popular with celebrities and influential people and some may be surprised to find these are owned by young adults who have the determination to conquer the business realm.

Shiffon Co

Launched as an online jewelry startup Shiffon has come a long way from a single design. The spiral pinkie ring has been sported by a number of notable A-listers.

24-year-old Shilpa Yarlagadda started Shiffon with some friends as a project to help female entrepreneurs fund their businesses. Yarlagadda is a Harvard student and is looking to complete her studies next year.

Shiffon directly sells its jewelry to customers.

Among the A-listers who have been spotted wearing Shiffon Co. jewelry are "Beauty and the Beast" star Emma Watson, women's tennis legend Serena Williams and former U.S. President Barack Obama's wife, Michelle Obama.

Shailene Woodley and Nicole Kidman also used Shiffon pinkie rinks to the 2017 Emmys.

Parade

Parade has become one of the biggest products on Instagram over the past year and it all started with free samples offered to social media users.

Launched in 2019 by Cami Téllez and Jack Defuria, both in their early 20s, Parade underwear has since sold more than 700,000 pairs.

Parade's social media campaign exploded this year as the startup encouraged Instagram influencers to become a "Parade girl" for only $9. The brand caters to all body shapes and sizes.

Among the A-listers who have been spotted wearing Parade products are singer and actress Selena Gomez and models Roseline Lawrence and Charlie Max.

Maya's Ideas

Maya Penn launched eco-fashion brand Maya's Ideas in 2008, as an 8-year-old. Now 20, Penn continues to collaborate with organizations and influential people to promote fashion accessories.

While Maya's Ideas may not be as well-used by A-listers as Parade and Shiffon, Penn is quite common among several celebrities who are also activists for a better environment.

Penn has given three TED talks and was commended by the Obama White House for her achievements in the environment. Penn was picked by Oprah Winfrey as the youngest Supersoul 100 entrepreneur.

Among the A-listers Penn has worked with are "The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder, rapper and songwriter Jaden Smith and the Duchess of Sussex, former actor and philanthropist Meghan Markle.
