Jungkook is the main vocalist of BTS. Nobody would dare argue why he was given that title because the group’s youngest member has one of the most beautiful voices in the industry. However, the “My Time” singer is called the “Golden Maknae” for a reason.
You see, Jungkook is good at almost everything. He can sing, dance, paint, and even rap. While the 23-year-old singer and songwriter is officially part of BTS’s “Vocal Line,” he was given some rape lines during BTS’s early days, such as “We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2” and “No More Dream.”
In fact, Jungkook is so good at rapping that ARMYs had been hoping for a “Rapper Jungkook” comeback for years. And on December 31, their dream was finally granted.
BTS kicked off the New Year by performing their song “Best of Me” at Weverse’s year-end concert. Since Suga is still recovering from his shoulder surgery, he wasn’t able to perform with RM, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
Previously, BTS didn’t assign any of the members to take Suga’s part and let his backtrack do it for him during their performances. This time, however, Jungkook took over, and ARMYs were more than happy about it.
“Jungkook doing Yoongi’s rap in ‘Best of Me’ was the highlight of 2020,” one tweeted. “Rapper Jungkook made an appearance again. He performed Yoongi’s part amazingly!” another one shared. “Rapper Jungkook is the best thing to end the year 2020,” an ARMY wrote.
ARMYs believe that Jungkook can be the fourth member of the “Rap Line” and J-Hope can be the fifth member of the “Vocal Line.” The “Ego” rapper would normally joke around when trying to sing a song, but ARMYs get to hear their angelic voices when they thought nobody was watching.
In Episode 2 of In the SOOP, J-Hope can be seen lounging on a chair as he was checking something on his phone under a tent. Viewers then suddenly heard someone singing beautifully of Park Hyo Shin’s “Breath.” Due to the angle of the camera, it was hard to see who was singing. But based on the quality of the voice, ARMYs assumed it was Jungkook.
But after watching the clip on repeat, ARMYs realized it was J-Hope who was singing and not Jungkook. While many already knew that the “Chicken Noodle Soup” hitmaker has a beautiful voice, they were still shocked to hear it.
