Hajime Isayama recently announced the end date of the Attack on Titan manga series, making all eyes shift on Attack on Titan Season 4. As the final season only has a short episode order, does it mean there will be no Part 2?

According to Epic Dope, Attack on Titan Season 4 only has 16 episodes. So far, it has dropped four episodes since it began airing on December 7, 2020.

NHK dropped the official titles of the series' next four episodes, from Episode 5 to Episode 8, hinting at a new war coming. Episode 5 will be called "Declaration of War," Episode 6 is "The War Hammer Titan," Episode is "Assault," and Episode 8 is "Assassin's Bullet."

By the looks of it, Comicbook noted the anime would be starting a war on its fifth episode, which would drop on January 11. Paradis and Marley have long been at war, although its people have no idea about that.

Now, it looks like Marley will do everything to get all the power in the world to bring the Titans down. However, Eren's group has already managed to infiltrate Marley, so it seems to suggest the Survey Corps will bring back the war to where it all began.

Also, with Reiner's reaction to Eren in the previous episode, it seems to hint at something worst is about to happen in Attack on Titan Season 4.

Meanwhile, the franchise's official website also revealed the anime would ship in two Blu-ray Disc volumes, starting on May 19, while the other one would be on July 21. The first volume would cover Episodes 60 to 67, while the second one would be Episodes 68 to 75.

The manga will end in the summer, and if the anime follows suit, it may also conclude at the same time. However, there is still hope that the final season will have a second part.

Netflix Japan originally listed Shingeki no Kyojoin: The Final Season Part 1, which seemed to hint that there would be Part 2. There are also rumors that the anime may have a movie that is not far from happening, knowing its success and fame.

Some assumptions Attack on Titan Season 4 is set to only have 16 episodes because it will be divided into two parts - Part 1 and Part 2, per CBR. If this happens, the final season can perfectly adapt Isayama's conclusion of the story in "several months."
