Could Son Ye Jin lose her role in her first Hollywood movie after her agency requested for a delay in the filming of the movie Cross?

According to a report by All Kpop, the filming for the Hollywood sci-fi movie was originally scheduled to start on April 2021. However, given the spike in COVID-19 cases in the US, Son Ye Jin's agency MS Team Entertainment requested the production for a postponement in the filming.

The request has put Son Ye Jin in a difficult position because she confirmed her participation in the project after the tremendous success of Crash Landing on You last year. She reportedly rejected several offers to prioritize her Hollywood debut.

However, if the production of Cross opts to proceed with the original filming schedule, it is unsure whether they would continue with Son Ye Jin or recast the role in favor of an actress who will be able to meet their requirements.

While there is no final decision yet from the Hollywood studio, the actress has reportedly been reviewing other offers for a potential project.

It can be recalled that Son Ye Jin was the personal pick of director Andrew Niccol for the role of Vera, a tough widow who lives on the border of the impoverished nation in the fictitious society that is divided between the rich and the poor. Avatar star Sam Worthington has signed on to play the lead male character who lives on the affluent side of the border.

In recent news, Son Ye Jin and her Crash Landing on You co-star Hyun Bin recently made the headlines after their real-life relationship was exposed by entertainment outlet Dispatch.

As their opening bombshell of the year, the publication revealed that Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin have been dating secretly for several months already. The romantic relationship between the two actors reportedly started after they concluded the filming of their hit drama.

It was reported that Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin initially met up after the drama as part of group get-togethers with fellow actors but soon found themselves falling in love with each other when they realized they had a lot of things in common, Soompi reported.

Agencies for both actors confirmed the dating news. Son Ye Jin also personally confirmed the relationship on an Instagram post.

In her post, she thanked the fans for their support and expressed her gratitude for finding a good man in her boyfriend. He promised to do her best to protect and cherish their relationship.
