Boruto Episode 181 seems to tease something about the "vessel," which also plays as the episode's title. The anime has now caught up to the manga, as the Kara arc has already begun.
With a new storyline, a lot of characters are expected to come in Boruto Episode 181. In fact, Kashin Koji is said to make his appearance finally.
The new episode's trailer shows Victor and Jigen talk about the vessel they have lost and its importance not just to them but to the Kara Organization as well. The group badly needs to know where this vessel is, or these two will face serious consequences if they can't find it, BlockToro noted.
In addition, a new screenshot from the new installment reveals Kashin Koji's glowing eyes under the mask. The Jiraiya clone plays a major role in the manga's storyline, knowing he holds many secrets about the Kara organization and Jigen.
Republic World also cited Kawaki, and the remaining Kara members might even make an appearance in Boruto Episode 181. As the anime has been establishing the Vessel arc, more characters may emerge. Ao and some of the Kara organization's important members already appeared, and others may come, too.
Talking about the vessel, it is the only thing that will fulfill the organization's wish. However, it remains to be seen who or what this vessel is.
So, all the Shinobis have to find this vessel and protect it with all their might. When they finally see this thing, will fans finally know what it is? The said vessel has also been a big deal in the manga series, so everyone is now looking forward to knowing more about it.
In the previous episode, Katasuke dropped a major clue about the Vessel arc when he revealed he created a new prosthetic arm for Naruto. He also seemed to be assured Naruto would get excited when he saw this thing in action, per Comicbook.
In fact, Naruto himself admitted he was looking forward to experiencing it first-hand. However, the Shinobi then remember his son, Boruto, who asked to have a spar with him when his arm got better.
This only teases a friendly fight between the father and son in Boruto Episode 181. In fact, they are seen sparring in front of other Genin in the promo. Naruto is also trying to get used to wearing his new arm.
