Cells at Work! Season 2 officially begins on the first week of January, wowing fans once again with its eccentric storyline about the cells in the body. The show has personified every living cell in the human body to show everyone how it works to fight germs and protect the physique itself.

According to Epic Dope, the second season is set to have eight episodes. On the other hand, its BluRay and DVD release dates are now revealed, dropping the whole season in four volumes.

Standford Arts Review noted Cells at Work! Season 2 is yet to be out in Japan, although its regular streaming was set to begin on January 9.

However, Funimation released the first episode earlier than its official release date, dropping the premiere episode on January 7. As everyone is now looking forward to the coming of the second installment, rumors have it that it will be out either on January 14 or January 16.

The second episode will feature the cells working, as usual, doing their daily routine without any issues, per OtakuKart News. On her first day of work, AE-3803 meets Macrophage, and the two enjoy a girls' talk.

AE gets Macrophage's praise as she brings gas to a place where it is needed. However, as she is still quite clumsy, she bumps into Killer, who asks her to get out of its way.

The latter, too, asks AE if she's lost as she seems like just wandering around. She then bids her sorry to Killer for getting on its way, along with other trainees. As the story continues, fans have a lot to look forward to seeing what is going to happen in Cells at Work! Season 2.
