Members of GOT7 can still use the group's name even after ending their contracts with JYP Entertainment at the end of the month.

According to a report by Kpopstarz, JYP will not keep the copyright of GOT7 and the intellectual property of the group once they leave the agency. This means that members can freely use the group name if they choose to hold a reunion in the future without any fears of violating the trademark owned by the label.

This comes as a relief to Aghases, hoping that despite the members' decision to sign with different agencies, they will still be able to work together and promote under the GOT7 name.

It can be recalled that trademarks are important factors to consider for an artist when deciding to renew contracts with their labels. This especially has a strong impact on artists who have established their identities under their stage names.

Last year, it was revealed that YG Entertainment owned the trademarks for G-Dragon and Taeyang, which means that if the artists choose to leave the agency, they will no longer be able to use their stage names. It was a good thing that both artists, who are part of YG's representative group BIGBANG, had no issues renewing their contract with the label after many years of working together.

JYP Entertainment recently announced that all members of GOT7 have chosen to leave the agency after seven years of promoting as a group.

After leaving the agency, members have reportedly lined up their prospects for their next agencies and projects, Soompi reported.

It was earlier reported that while members wanted to stay together, they had different preferences for the agencies they would sign.

Jinyoung has reportedly completed talks with BH Entertainment to manage his acting career. Jinyoung recently starred in well-received dramas like He is Psychometric and When My Love Blooms. BH Entertainment is known for grooming talents like Lee Byung Hun and Han Hyo Joo.

As confirmed by the agency on their Weibo page, Jackson Wang's Chinese activities and promotion will be managed by Team Wang. A separate agency will manage his Korean activities.

Yugyeom will sign with Jay Park's AOMG, while Youngjae is in talks to join Sublime Artist Agency.

According to reports, JB has been approached by several hip-hop agencies, but he has yet to announce his final decision. Bambam will continue with Thai and Korean promotions and is rumored to be eyeing MAKEUS Entertainment to manage his career.

Meanwhile, Mark will return to the US to join his family. He is planning to launch his YouTube channel and embark on solo activities in the future. All the members have expressed openness to get together for a reunion in the future.
