Chinese game developer miHoYo announced a new event in "Genshin Impact" dubbed as the Hypostatic Symphony. It replaces the Lost Riches event, which is set to end at 3:59 (server time) on Jan. 18. Here are some of the important details players should know before jumping in at the new in-game event.

What is the Hypostatic Symphony Event

Hypostatic Symphony starts at 10 a.m.ET on Jan. 16 and ends at 4 a.m. ET on Jan. 31. During the event, players encounter the Violet Lightning Concerto boss. They can face the boss in co-op and single player. While the new event is now live in the game, it is only available to players at Adventure Rank 20 or higher.

For players wondering about the Violet Lightning Concerto boss, he is similar to the Electro Hypostasis except that it features an Amethyst Prism. This allows him to deal with continuous Electro damage to nearby players in response to electro damage. To reduce its effects, players need to deactivate via elemental reactions. When this is done, the Amethyst Prism will stop causing damage until it is subjected to Electro damage.

Characters With Increased Damage During Hypostatic Symphony Event

During this latest "Genshin Impact" event, it is important that players pick characters that can deal extra damage to evey boss battle. For instance, players can use buffed Diluc, Xianglinf, Chongyun and Ganyu since these characters deal with bonus damage when facing Pure Electro Hypostasis. When in a Pure Anemo Hypostasis boss battle, players could use Albedo, Keqing, Fischl, and Xingqui.

Meanwhile, when dealing with the Pure Geo Hypostasis boss, players should use Bennett, Klee, Noelle, or Razor. If players would like to challenge all three bosses at once, they can use Sucrose, Diluc, Chongyu and Ganyu. These are the best characters that players could use in every challenge, so make sure that at least one is at the party.

Hypostatic Symphony Rewards

"Genshin Impact" players who complete the Hypostatic Symphony event earn 60 Primogems in every completed challenge. At the end of the event, they could rake up to 420 Primogems. Players could also get extra rewards based on a point total they reached throughout the event. To get better rewards, players should pass particular point thresholds in each battle. It caps out at 2000 points in total. It is worth noting that only the player's high score will count towards the total.

"Genshin Impact" is playable in various gaming platforms. This includes PC, PS4, iOS and Android devices.
