Tencent earlier promised that "PUBG Mobile" Season 17 update will be available for download and play starting Jan. 19. The game developer seems to have prepared a lot for its playerbase, including this season's Runic Power theme and new Battle Pass. There are also new weapons and features that will definitely add excitement to the hit shooter title.
"PUBG Mobile" Season 17 Content
The Runic Power themed season is now live and along with it is the new set of overhauled RP missions. The devs appear to have lowered the difficulty of the mission while boosting the point rewards. They also introduced season match time rewards.
Players will have to accumulate match times to collect point rewards. Apart from those, devs also introduced RP point rewards to weekly Activity progress. Players could now collect point rewards by completing missions to get Activity points.
The latest "PUBG Mobile" season also launched the adventure event with the Runic Power theme. Players can fo to the RP exclusive event tab and get Metro Badges. They can also unlock the story while exploring or advance for free after making a purchase.

Other "PUBG Mobile" Season 17 Details
A new chapter of the Metro Royale is one of the major parts of the games January update. It is now available to all players and features a new solo mode. The solo mode is perfect for players who do not want to battle with players in teams.
The update also introduced a new way to unlock new items based on the Honor System of Metro Royale. To do this, players need to collect Honor to unlock voice packs, outfits and other rewards. Honor can be acquired by defeating players or picking up Honor items.
When players reach the maximum amount of Honor, their Honor level increases. They can also collect Honor by completing weekly missions. However, players should take note that Honor resets when a new chapter is updated. If this happens, players revert to the initial amount of Honor based on their performance in the past chapter.
At the end of every season, the RP section of "PUBG Mobile" will be locked for 24 hours. It unlocks at the start of the new season, which in this case is at 2 a.m. UTC on Jan. 19. The current season offers a couple of premium Royal Pass variants. These are the Elite Pass, which costs 600 UC and the Elite Pass Plus, which costs 1800 UC.
"PUBG Mobile" is playable on iOS and Android devices.
