Baekhyun made EXO-Ls' hearts melt with the sincere message of his Japanese song "Stars."

The EXO member released his first Japanese album on January 20 after his successful solo releases in Korea last year.

It can be recalled that last year, Baekhyun's second solo album Delight earned him awards from the Gaon Chart Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards, and Melon Awards. He received the Best Male Artist prize in the Mnet Asia Music Awards (MAMA) 2020.

Baekhyun also became one of the top-selling solo artists of 2020 as his Delight album surpassed one million units in album sales, making him the first solo artist since Kim Gun Mo to sell over a million copies of an album.

This year, Baekhyun finally committed to tapping into the Japanese music scene with his self-titled album, Baekhyun.

The album contains six songs in total including the title track "Stars." After it was translated by fans, they quickly shared their happiness on social media and praised Baekhyun for the very personal message that the song contained, All Kpop reported.

In the song, Baekhyun sings to Aeri, his special pet name for EXO-Ls. The song also contains the message "let's love" which is EXO's slogan.

In the song, Baekhyun recalled the good old days when his Aeri and he would meet. He lamented the days when he could no longer see them and said that he is counting the time when things would go back to the way they were.

Fans believe that the lines refer to Baekhyun's inability to meet EXO-Ls in person because of the restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

While Baekhyun gears for his Japanese promotions, he is also actively working on a collaboration with Changmo and Raiden for the theme song of League of Legends team T1.

In the teaser video, Baekhyun's silhouette, along with T1 player Canna's shadow were showcased along with a catchy beat in the background.

The beat is reportedly part of the song "Runner" which will be played as T1's theme song for the League of Legends Korea championship.

The news excited both Kpop and gaming fans since the teaser music features a combination of rock, trap, and EDM genres. The song is expected to drop on January 26 along with a music video which will be uploaded on T1's YouTube channel Soompi reported.
