Fans are about to see new Demon Slayer episodes, though it is part of Season 1's continuation and not Demon Slayer Season 2. The anime drops a new trailer, teasing the release of new installments coming the viewers' way.
Many thought the said clip is for Demon Slayer Season 2, but all hopes are gone when it was revealed to be for Demon Slayer Part 2. After the successful release of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, all eyes are now on the anime's second season.
According to BlockToro, the new trailer seems to officially announce the English dubbed release of the first season's later episodes. Titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Part 2, Funimation released the clip on YouTube on January 13.
The caption advised fans to "breathe in" as the show's second part, from Episodes 14 to 26, was about to drop. It even teased that fans are about to see their favorite "demon slayers" bringing down some of the major powerful demons.
As of this writing, the coming of Demon Slayer Season 2 is still yet to be confirmed. Anyhow, with the franchise's success, it is not far that it is happening.
Demon Slayer: Mugen Train comes out as a box office hit, breaking a lot of movie records. This only means that it gives the second season the boost it needed to be made.
Den of Geek noted that the movie's ending left a path where the second season could continue. The film adapted the manga's Chapters 54 to 69. Hence, the next installment might cover "even more grounds" and tell a much "focused story" throughout the new episodes.
The anime's first season is now streaming on Netflix and once again making noise, screaming its success. The manga series started airing in 2019, and it instantly brought the title to popularity.
It continuously dominated sales charts, and now it could be seen by a wider audience. The first season's 26 episodes with Japanese and English dubbed and English subtitles can now be seen on Netflix, per Comicbook.
This may also mean that if Demon Slayer Season 2 comes, it may drop on the giant streaming service, too. Meanwhile, the newly-released English dubbed Episode 14 to 26 have been released on Funimation on January 19.
On the other hand, it remains to be seen when the second season will hit the small screens, as the creators may now feel the pressure brought by their masterpiece's success. They are maybe busy working on the second installment to match the standard of its first season and movie to experience another successful release.
If this happens, then Demon Slayer Season 2 may soon come out, and it can even be part of Winter 2021 releases.
