A married high school teacher in Ohio will spend two years in jail after she pleaded guilty to having sex with two of her male teenage students on numerous occasions, People reported Tuesday.

Laura Dunker, 31, was charged with six counts of sexual battery, four with one student and two with another, and one count of tampering with evidence over her trysts with Bedford High School students in 2019.

Based on court documents, Dunker had sex with two of her students and had "morning trysts" before class. The records have not revealed the students' names and ages.

Dunker admitted to investigators that she would either drive her students to a park or bring them to her house to have sex when her husband wasn't around.

"As I previously shared with our community, we have immediately put the teacher on leave in order to protect the safety and well-being of our students. The Board of Education accepted her resignation on December 5," The Sun quoted a statement released by the Bedford City School District.

Following her release, Dunker will be on probation for five years. She will be registered as a Tier 3 sex offender and will be required to re-register every 90 days for the rest of her life.

The alleged sexual encounters took place between Nov. 1, 2018 and Oct. 19, 2019. Dunker remained silent during her sentencing, but the prosecutor said that her crimes were very serious.

According to Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O'Malley, teachers are "expected to be role models to their students and communities which they serve," adding that Dunker took advantage of her students and now must face the consequences of her actions.

Dunker is the second teacher at Bedford to be sent to prison for sexual intercourse with students in the last two years after Sean Williams, a football coach, admitted to sexually molesting a 15-year-old girl.
