Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, the stars of Crash Landing on You, have confirmed their relationship at the beginning of the year but a Feng Shui grandmaster said that they should get married in 2021.
Tan Khoon Yong, a Feng Shui expert from Singapore, believes that this year is a great time for the couple to get hitchedbased on Hyun and Son's birth years. Both stars were born in 1982, the Year of the Dog.
According to The Chinese Zodiac, 2021 brings special opportunities to forge new directions for those born under the Dog sign. However, Tan also said that Son is more likely to make the first move than her boyfriend, suggesting she could be more inclined to settle down than Hyun.
The news comes amid rumors that Hyun has bought a new $4 million penthouse in the Gyeonggi Province at the end of January. Speculations are that this is going to be the house he'll share with Son once they are married.
However, Hyun's agency immediately issued a clarification to the rumors, stating that the actor didn't buy a "marital home." The agency also refused to reveal more details since the matter is Hyun's "private residence."
Meanwhile, Son marked her 39th birthday on Jan. 11 with a special interview on SBS. The actress revealed that her first impression of Hyun was all about his physical appearance. She said that based on his great skin and hair, Hyun is likely the actor who could leave his female partners swooning.
Hyun, on the other hand, said that the reason he signed up to star in the movie, The Negotiation, was because of Son. On the first day of filming in 2017, the actor said that he was shocked to see Son with a bob cut since he knew that she has another movie to film immediately after The Negotiation. That taught him about her motivation and commitment and he said that he wanted to follow the same level of commitment as Son.
The couple was not yet dating when they filmed The Negotiation. According to their agencies, the magic happened while they were filming Crash Landing on You in 2019, a romantic story that ended up mimicking real-life.
BinJin fans, however, are convinced that the couple has been seeing each other after The Negotiation wrapped up filming in 2018. Dating rumors have swirled even then, which escalated further when they were apparently seen together enjoying a trip to Los Angeles in early 2019.
During the filming of Crash Landing on You, Hyun and Son strongly denied the dating rumors yet again. In Jan. 1, 2021, the pair finally issued a statement that they have been together for "eight months" soon after their TV series wrapped up.
