BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez shocked the world upon announcing their collaboration amid the pandemic crisis. The artists released "Ice Cream" weeks later and have since met massive successes for their work.

Koreaboo recently released a report, covering what the "Back To You" singer had to say about the four South Korean celebrities. She recalled what it was like working with Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa.

Speaking to GQ India, Gomez said that it was a "learning process because the language was new." But, despite this, she stated that all of their "distinct styles," alongside the K-pop stars' energy, caused them all to "fit together perfectly." She continued that the "girls were so welcoming," adding that they had an "absolute blast while working on the song over FaceTime."

Amid the collaboration, Selena Gomez appeared to have developed a good friendship with the members of BLACKPINK. She, also, talked about it in her previous interview on the Zang Sang Show.

A separate report from Koreaboo released some of the details of the discussion, wherein all of them were present. During the virtual talk, the 28-year-old American celebrity revealed what she loves about the K-pop stars.

The Rare artist stated that the four South Korean celebrities have "this versatility about them." She, then, claimed that it felt like she was "caught in some different fancy, cool life."

In the same interview, Selena Gomez touched on the topic of their fans and followers. She uncovered that BLACKPINK paved the way for her to receive an additional million followers on Instagram.

The "Hands To Myself" voice said that she gained a million BLINK followers after sharing news about their "Ice Cream" collaboration. She, then, noted how much she wanted the members of the K-pop group to receive the same support from the American audience.

The "Kill This Love" singers, later on, thanked the songstress for her praises and kind words. They even shared that they grew up looking up to her and listening to her songs.

BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez's collaboration for "Ice Cream" has continued to reach new heights since its release. The official music video has since obtained more than 496 million views and even broke records on the platform when it first premiered.

The success of the joint project appears to have persisted even today. Soompi reported that the artists scored another set of nominations for this year's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.
