BTS has undoubtedly become one of the most successful and famous all-male boy bands in the world. The septet has, time and again, proven this with their music releases these past few years.

On Friday, the K-Pop group dropped its latest album, BE (Essential Edition). While it did not house any new singles or tracks, fans across the globe have still gone all over it.

AllKpop reported that with the fandom's help, the seven members have broken several new records during the first day of sales. In less than five hours, they were able to sell more than 500,000 copies of the album.

BE (Essential Edition) is now the best-selling album from a South Korean act in 2021. Moreover, it has, also, become the fourth highest first-day sales in the history of Hanteo.

In the top 8 of the record, BTS now holds four spots, including the first two placements. Map of the Soul: 7 and BE (Deluxe Edition) bagged the first and second places, respectively.

Bandwagon said that the South Korean septet described BE album as their "most personal record" yet. As explained, it contains all the members' "emotions, and ruminations they had" throughout 2020.

BTS dropped the deluxe version earlier in November. It has since sold more than 3 million copies in the United States alone.

Upon the release of BE a few months ago, BTS had their fifth Number 1 on Billboard 200. This has made them the "fastest group to earn five Number 1 albums" in the U.S. since the Beatles, according to Forbes.

There is little difference between the deluxe and essential albums. But, the latter serves as more of a collector's edition, considering all the inclusions it offers toward the fans.

The same publication noted that, apart from the album itself, BE (Essential Edition), also, has several collectible items. These include a 140-page photobook, a poster, and two types of photocards.

Following the official release of the latest album, BTS came on VLive to celebrate the members' new success. Alongside thanking the ARMYs for all the love and support, they answered several questions, as well, from all the viewers.

As the live stream continued, the youngest member of the K-Pop band Jungkook trended immensely on social media. He reached the top spots for worldwide trends and in 54 more countries.

MEA World Wide reported that this came after the South Korean artist introduced his new hairstyle, featuring a cool-toned silver-gray hair. After witnessing the look, several fans began discussing how great Jungkook appears, with some netizens claiming that they could not even breathe.
