Grey's Anatomy season 17 episode 7 is finally arriving within two weeks on ABC. The medical drama went on a winter hiatus in December 2020 and it is now coming back to continue where the story left off. Here is what fans can anticipate in the upcoming "Helplessly Hoping."

Grey's Anatomy season 17 episode 7 is going to be the first episode this 2021. The previous episode "No Time For Despair" left some characters' fate in question and viewers will finally get answers now that the series is just a few weeks away.

One of the major storylines in Grey's Anatomy season 17 episode 7 is the Station 19 crossover event. This is something that has been teased in some previews, as well as in the synopsis. The story is tied to the human trafficking that Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) uncovered in season 16.

He may finally get some answer from the woman responsible for what happened. The story was brought back when two girls were admitted to the hospital after being kidnapped. The man who took them was also sent to the hospital, but the doctors were conflicted in treating him since he is a terrible person.

The previous episode saw the woman coming to the hospital claiming that she's mugged, but she's actually looking for the man who kidnapped the two girls. DeLuca saw her at the parking lot before the episode ended, which means the story will be picked up in the next one.

The promo also hypes up the crossover event of the medical drama and firefighter spin-off. The clip teased that Andrew and his sister Carina DeLuca (Stefania Spampinato) followed the woman. They are willing to put their lives and careers on the line just to capture her.

Elsewhere in Grey's Anatomy season 17 episode 7, Meredith Grey's (Ellen Pompeo) current condition is still in question. She was put on a ventilator in episode 6 and it looks like she's going to meet more familiar faces in her beach dream sequence.

Meredith already reunited with her late husband Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) and her late friend George O'Malley (T.R. Knight). The two represent her subconscious after falling into a coma due to the COVID-19. For now, it's yet to be seen whether or not she'll get better when the new episode arrives.

Grey's Anatomy season 17 episode 7 airs on Thursday, March 11, on ABC.
