Grey's Anatomy season 17 episode 5 is coming this week on ABC, with the title "Fight The Power." Tom Koracick (Greg Germann) is one of the biggest concerns within this episode. His life is seemingly on the line after being infected with the COVID-19.
Grey's Anatomy season 17 episode 5 sees Koracick not in an entirely better situation. As shown in the preview, he tested positive for the virus, and he's now in bad shape. Most of the doctors are worried after seeing him unresponsive.
Initially, Koracick seems to be fine even after testing positive for COVID-19. He was asymptomatic and just needed to quarantine at home to ensure others' safety. However, his condition eventually worsened. There is no guarantee that he's going to be fine at the end of this week's episode.
Koracick will be hospitalized, and his life is on the life in Grey's Anatomy season 17 episode 5. It remains to be seen whether or not he'll survive. CarterMatt noted that the series might choose to lose one of its beloved doctors to show the severity of the virus.
Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) also tested positive for COVID-19, but she'll possibly make it at the end, given that she's the lead character of the medical drama. While Koracick is also a significant character, the series may want to demonstrate that some people -- especially doctors -- do die from the virus.
Viewers have to wait and see what the future hold for Koracick. The good thing is that there is no official confirmation Germann is leaving the series. Two more episodes are coming after Grey's Anatomy season 17 episode 5, so there's still hope for the character.
As for what else is coming, Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) feels overwhelmed after hearing that there's been a surge of COVID-19 cases. She panics after knowing that some of her loved ones were in an assisted living facility.
Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) and Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) will be teaming up against Catherine (Debbie Allen). Teddy Altman (Kim Raver), on the other hand, is mending her frayed relationships. Also, fans may see another notable character from the past returning.
Meredith is unconscious and currently in a beach dream sequence. She reunited with some of the important dead people in her life. Her late husband, Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), returned in the premiere, while she met her beloved friend George O'Malley (T.R. Knight) in the previous episode.
