Fans and supporters continue to wait for the premiere of The Box. Ahead of its release, the film's musical director recently confirmed that they will release an official soundtrack album, featuring EXO's Chanyeol's music productions.

AllKpop released a report, detailing the latest updates about the said track collection. While it is not an official solo debut album, avid followers of the K-Pop idol have started to express their excitement on various social media platforms.

The hype and commotion come after the music director of The Box shared some details about the 19-track album on Instagram last Friday. He said that most of the mixes and rearrangements are officially done based on the translations.

The post, then, revealed that despite the "low budget," the film and the music production are all of "high quality." As for the release date, though, there is little information on whether it will arrive before or after the film's premiere.

Reports, later on, recalled that some of the covered and rearranged songs include the works of Billie Eilish, Coldplay, Mariah Carey, and Pharrell Williams. Although the EXO member, as well as the music director, has yet to name the exact tracks, previous reports already hinted that "Bad Guy," "A Sky Full of Stars," and "Without You" are in the film and the OST album. Moreover, it is believed that seven of the 19 tracks in it are original works of Chanyeol.

Earlier this month, new and official poster for Chanyeol's new film dropped on media channels. Soompi reported that the material features The Box's two main stars, including the EXO member.

As described, the two characters sit "atop a ledge by the ocean" with the sunset as their background. Each of them seemingly "radiates a contrasting energy," making the whole dynamic more intriguing.

The appearance of the poster makes total sense as this appears to be the main style of The Box. As explained, it follows the stories of Ji Hoon, a talented musician who has stage fright, and Min Soo, a music producer who "values success" over anything else.

The film will premiere on March 24. It remains unclear, though, if this applies to countries and regions outside South Korea.

The latest film and music projects of Chanyeol are likely some of his last efforts before officially serving the country's militaryPinkvilla said that SM Entertainment confirmed the EXO rapper's enlistment on February 26.

He will be the fifth member of the group to join the military after Suho and Chen, as well as Xiumin and D.O. who have already completed their service.
