The South Korean entertainment industry faces tons of allegations and controversies these past few weeks. It all came after several netizens and alleged victims went public to accuse K-drama stars and K-Pop idols of bullying and harassment, and these include Mingyu of SEVENTEEN.

Bullying accusations toward the K-Pop group member continued to increase. Amid staying silent, though, sexual harassment allegations consequently emerged, claiming that the artists did a lot of these things during his schooling years.

Following all debacle, the K-Pop band's agency, Pledis Entertainment, has now released an official statement to end the reports. AllKpop published a copy of the announcement, clarifying what happened earlier this week.

As explained, Mingyu of SEVENTEEN and the original poster who accused the K-Pop idol of bullying have already "come to a mutual agreement to settle misunderstandings," adding that both sides now intend to "bring the issue to an end." The agency said that they held several "dialogues" with the OP to confirm all the details of the allegations.

After a thorough investigation, Mingyu, reportedly, explained his side, noting that he "often played jokes" with his classmates. But, he emphasized that "he had no intention of bullying or mistreating" others. Despite this, though, the K-Pop idol shared that "if his past actions inflicted discomfort," he, then, offers his apologies, which the accuser accepted in the process.

Pledis Entertainment continued that the OP, also, clarified with them that their side has no plans or desires to see Mingyu leave SEVENTEEN nor "halting his activities." The label added, as well, that they obtained permission from the accuser to release these statements before doing so on Friday.

Earlier this month, the SEVENTEEN member expressed his apologies, as well, publicly. He, also, said that he would be taking a "temporary break" from all of his activities in the industry.

The Korea Portal noted, however, that Pledis Entertainment previously revealed that they already identified the accusers and alleged victims, and held talks with the mother of the poster. As emphasized, the parent of the accuser claimed that her child and Mingyu are "on good terms."

The same individual, also, reportedly, notified the agency that she knows all of the names of her child's bullies, confirming that the SEVENTEEN artist is not one of them.

Despite this, Pledis Entertainment continued to work on verifying all the accusations and allegations thrown at Mingyu. They ensured the public, as well, that they will release updates as soon as new information comes to light.
