A Russian drone attack devastated a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih on Friday, killing at least 15 people and injuring 130 others - including 23 children, Ukrainian officials said.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who was born in Kryvyi Rih, said Russia carried out a "double-tap" strike: an initial wave of drones hit the area, followed by another as rescuers rushed to respond.

"Attacks like these are nothing less than terrorist acts," Zelenskyy said, later vowing that Ukraine would respond.

Local administration chief Oleksandr Vilkul said rescue operations remained underway. Kryvyi Rih has repeatedly been targeted during the more than four-year war; an April 2025 attack killed 20 people, including nine children.

Friday's deadly strike came just 24 hours after Russia unleashed scores of missiles and drones on Kyiv, killing at least 16 people. Earlier Friday, another Russian drone attack in the Kharkiv region killed two women, ages 73 and 66.

Ukraine said it shot down or suppressed 107 of 135 Russian drones launched overnight.

Meanwhile, Ukraine continued its own deep-strike campaign inside Russia. Zelenskyy said Ukrainian drones hit an oil refinery in Perm - more than 995 miles from Ukraine - as well as the Marinovka military airfield in the Volgograd region. Russian officials also said a Ukrainian drone struck a car in Belgorod, killing one person and wounding four.

Russia's Defense Ministry said its forces intercepted 325 Ukrainian drones overnight, followed by another 211 later Friday.
