Nearly five years have passed since 2NE1 officially disbanded. Following Minzy's exit, the group formally left the music scene to embark on their respective careers and journeys.
Avid fans and followers of the K-Pop idols have since expressed their hopes and wishes for the band's comeback or even a reunion. Likewise, the four South Korean celebrities themselves have since shared their desires to do the same.
However, they have yet to make a comeback on stage to perform before their audience. Nevertheless, their fandom, Blackjack, still holds on to the possibility of the 2NE1's return because the members want the same thing, as well.
This became even more apparent when member Sandara Park shared her positive remarks about the potential reunion of the group. Koreaboo reported that Dara caused excitement among Blackjacks all over the world following her latest interview.
Speaking to Mnet's TMI News, the South Korean idol shared a "hilarious" yet exciting comment about their group's future. She said that "2NE1 will reunite once again" before each one of them gets osteoporosis.
The 36-year-old celebrity noted, however, that there are "no concrete plans yet" regarding the matter. Even so, she revealed that all of them "share the same heart" as they all want to "stand on stage and greet" their fans in the future.
Apart from Dara, former member Minzy, also, talked about the same matter earlier in February. NME released a report, detailing what she had to say about the group's potential reunion and return.
During her guest appearance on KBS Cool FM's Park Myung Soo's Radio Show, she said that all four members often meet with each other. She revealed, as well, that their leader CL would always say that they should "try it" in the near future, while Park Bom and Sandara Park would get on board for the potential reunion.
But, despite talking about it, Minzy explained that they have yet to agree about the details and specifics. She pointed out that "nothing has been proceeded in detail yet" as they are still in the process of "talking about doing something" for the Blackjacks.
Weeks prior, though, the four members of 2NE1 had a shocking reunion on their own to celebrate the youngest member's 27th birthday. Minzy marked her special day, alongside her former groupmates at CL's studio.
A report from Soompi covered what happened during the private event, noting that each of the K-Pop idols posted photos and clips, featuring all members of 2NE1 together. Fans and followers across the globe celebrated with them on social media as many were happy to see them reunited once again after a few years.
