G-Dragon of BIGBANG and Jennie of BLACKPINK shocked the world when news of their alleged relationship went public. Earlier this week, Dispatch claimed that the two started to date about a year ago, and have since continued with their romantic ties.
Following the assertions, the reported couple has yet to confirm nor deny the rumors. Similarly, their label, YG Entertainment, has seemingly stepped back from the equation, stating they have no knowledge of anything about their artists' private lives.
As the speculations continue to develop, AllKpop reported that the Coup d'état artist has since obtained criticisms from many of Jennie's fans. In various online communities, several individuals expressed their "discomfort" about the relationship between the two K-Pop idols.
The publication included a screenshot of some of the criticisms thrown toward G-Dragon. Many of them are urging him to "stay away" from the BLACKPINK member, with some calling him an "old man."
Others, also, echoed the sentiments of the avid fans of Jennie. One even shared that many people today see the "Heartbreaker" singer as a "father to BLACKPINK."
As explained, the two South Korean artists have an 8-year age gap. This seemingly appears to be the base reason why BLINKs are not quite comfortable with the pair dating. There are a few individuals, as well, who, later on, described the romantic ties as "not right."
Nicki Swift released a similar report about the matter. But, instead of focusing on the criticisms and negative comments toward G-Dragon, the outlet emphasized that many BLACKPINK fans had a "mixed reaction" about the alleged relationship.
On Twitter, several BLINKs shared their thoughts, with some elaborating how much they support the two K-Pop idols dating. On the other hand, however, there are a few netizens who worry that Jennie will likely receive "hate" comments again in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, other Twitter users poked fun at the two celebrities as they are both ambassadors for Chanel. One netizen even shipped the idea that Jennie and G-Dragon are like a "Chanel love team."
Amid the continued outpouring of reactions and thoughts about the dating rumors, the Korea Portal said that the news has since caused sadness among fans of Sandara Park. As explained, many of them expressed their disappointments and "heartbreaks" because G-Dragon and the 2NE1 member used to face romance rumors in the past.
While the two senior K-Pop stars never denied nor confirmed the allegations, the public, especially their avid fans, supported their love team even up to this day. They, also, have a nickname, "Daragon," which shows how much their audience would love to see them together.
