Fans are now looking forward to seeing what will happen next to Yashahime Season 2 after the previous season's tragic finale. After the death of Setsuna, can Towa bring her sister back to life using Tenseiga?

After the Season 1 finale, Viz Media subsequently announced the coming of Yashahime Season 2. It also dropped the official new poster, showing Sesshomaru's daughter, Towa, promoting a sequel story that will be officially called Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon: The Second Act.

After the first season's cliffhanging finale, fans now wonder what will happen next to the series. According to Epic Dope, the sword called Tenseiga that Sesshoumaru gave Towa had an exceptional power that could bring someone back to life.

After the death of Setsuna, Towa may use it to revive her sister. Lady Zero already had broken her Tenseiga.

But as only a true compassionate wielder can use the sword, Towa has the chance to succeed in resurrecting her sister using it. The second season may also focus on gathering the scattered rainbow pearls throughout Feudal Japan after Kirinmaru sprinkled it around.

This may bring Yashahime Season 2 to a story that is quite similar to the route Inuyasha took. Will the original anime characters finally make their appearance here?

In the previous season finale, fans saw the tragic fight of the half-demon princesses against Kirinmaru. The latter decided to scatter the rainbow pearls throughout Feudal Japan after what Lady Zero did, making his sister truly mad at the situation.

The latter escaped while Riku stabbed Kirinmaru. Sesshoumaru let his daughters handle Kirinmaru while he went after Lady Zero.

Sadly, Setsuna wasn't able to dodge Kirinmaru's attack, leaving her with a grave injury. She later said goodbye to Towa before she lost consciousness.

Towa, on the other hand, unleashed her demon powers after seeing her sister die. Kirinmaru turned out to be the victor of this fight, but the battle was far from over.

As Towa now held the Tenseiga, she would surely put it to good use in Yashahime Season 2. In a statement via Siliconera, the manga creator Rumiko Takahashi said, just like fans, he's also looking forward to seeing the anime series every week.

Though the first season had a rough ending, he promised the second season would be more exciting. It would be unleashing a lot of mysteries, along with the missing the older generation.

Yashahime Season 2 is yet to have an official release date, per CBR, but it's expected to be out in later 2021 or early 2022.
