Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 16 ends with a major cliffhanger, preparing fans for a much-intense second cour. The Marleyan and Eldians' fight will continue in Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 17 forward to put a close to the epic story that put everyone in awe.

Zeke managed to survive, while Levi was not seen on screen in Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 16. As the squad captain surely survives, Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 17 may feature his return and everything in between.

According to Epic Dope, Zeke's survival results in a major turning point in the series continuation. Yelena has owned up the former captain's euthanization plan, and it looks like they're eyeing to do it in the anime's return.

If there's one most critical event that happened in the first cour finale , it's Pieck's decision to submit to Eren without any doubts.

It's rather suspicious, knowing everything she has been through when she secretly infiltrates Paradis. She leads Eren to the rooftop when the Jaw Titan suddenly burst out from below in Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 16.

Eren manages to escape being eaten alive and instantly transforms into Attack Titan. He's ready to face the coming Marleyan troops boarding the airborne battleships, and he's waiting for Reiner to come.

By the looks of it, there will be a great battle between Reiner's Armored Titan and Eren's Attack Titan in Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 17. The first cour's final episode teases a "bleak and bloody conflict" that will end the anime series, Polygon noted.

Anyhow, the first part's finale just shows violence is not always the solution to solve everything. Pieck's move surprises Gabi, but the initial explains that whatever they do to please the Marleyan authorities, they will always be "Subjects of Ymir."

Gabi may think she's now on the safe side by successfully pleasing Marley. However, everything she does will never be enough, knowing Marley's power as a nation still depends on using Eldians as its military force.

What happens from here will continue in Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 17. The franchise officially announced the coming of the final season's second cour in winter 2022, which will wrap up the eight-year anime series, per Comicbook.

However, there are no words yet on what date it will exactly go live, but there are predictions it will be out in January and end in March.
