Asta and Yuno's adventure will continue in the newly-announced Black Clover anime movie. The anime series may end with Episode 170, but the Magic Knights will return on the bigger screen.
The franchise has dropped the Black Clover anime movie's first official trailer and a poster that gives a glimpse of the fan-favorite Royal Knight. So, what does this film entail? Here's everything you need to know.
According to Epic Dope, the upcoming movie will be adapting the manga's Spade Invasion arc. The teaser shows the behind-the-scenes works for the manga series, from illustrating its stunning images to the anime works to voice dubbing duties and more.
It later revealed the movie's coming, along with some of the major action scenes, and Asta, Yuno, and Noelle's power-ups. Asta is seen honing her devil powers while Yuno and Noelle come into his aid.
They all work toward their goals, and more of these will be seen in the Black Clover anime movie. The visual, alternatively, gives a glimpse of Asta, whose face is brightly lit by the sunlight.
Sunrise on the horizon is also seen in the background, which seems to hint at the start of a new beginning. Does the movie imply it will start anew?
The franchise is yet to reveal major details about the film, but Shueisha promises to drop more information about it in the future. Comicbook noted that if the manga also comes to an end, the film may also adapt the second part of the Spade Kingdom saga.
Anyhow, as this arc is still under development, it's pretty hard to predict what grounds will be left for the anime to cover. It's also good to note that the series will end in a matter of days, so it's harder to wrap everything up in just one go.
So, when does the Black Clover anime movie will be out? There are theories it will drop either in late 2021 or early 2022, given the anime's timing. The anime series will release its final episode in one-week time, so its fame will still linger for a couple of months.
The manga is on-going, too, so fans may not forget Asta that easily. Hence, it may be more fitting if the film will be out in early 2022 instead to boost the series' fame and make it back in the headlines.
