Fans expect nothing but the best for the Attack on Titan finale, though some feel like Hajime Isayama brings them down. The manga's ending divides its supporters, giving birth to a petition to change its conclusion.

Several pleas are now circulating online, asking Isayama to rewrite the Attack on Titan finale. With the upcoming reprint with additional pages, will the mangaka hear their cries?

Netizens seem to work together and air their sentiments about the manga's ending on different social media platforms, like Twitter, Tumblr, and Reddit. According to Comicbook, they even unite to make their cries louder, asking the creator to give the series a new ending.

Some believe the conclusion is not fitting enough to give his almost 12-year epic story justice. However, others see it as a proper closure to Eren, Mikasa, and the rest of the gang's tale.

One fan said that though he didn't enjoy the ending, he wouldn't ask the author to change any of it. This statement didn't affect other fans, though, and continued with their petition, launching a plea on Change.org.

CBR noted the petition was addressed to Isayama with the title "Write a satisfying, alternative ending to AOT!" started by Dr Vibenari. As of this writing, the plea now has more than 7,400 signatures.

They call the series the "greatest manga" ever, but it claimed most fandom didn't like the Attack on Titan finale. They believed it was a little rush and disappointing, accompanying the post with criticisms, bad certain character treatment, and a major shift in tone.

Fans believed the publisher, Kodansha, or Isayama's editor had something to do with the so-called unfitting ending. So, it asked others not to harass the creator over its conclusion.

Anyhow, as the final chapter will be reprinted and it will have additional pages coming, created by Isayama himself, fans need to see what it does entail. There are theories that the new additions may be about the series story beats or character developments.

The manga features a definitive finale that fans may not see any sequel to follow in the near future. It officially ends Eren's story by showing his demise in the hands of the one who truly loves him most, Mikasa.

This makes others question if the Attack on Titan finale is truly worth it. Whatever the case may be, it can't be denied that the series is a huge success, and fans will always cherish it one way or another.
