Lisa of BLACKPINK is doing a lot of projects these past few weeks. But, the main thing that she does these days is mentoring trainees on Youth With You 3.
In the latest episode of the reality competition show, K-Pop idol did not shy away from showing her top picks before the public. In the mentor collaboration portion, she even looked "pleased" when mentee XingXing auditioned for her team.
Koreaboo said that Lisa whispered his name when asked who she wanted for her group. Upon seeing XingXing as he enters the idol's room, she was ecstatic and gave her greetings to the trainee.
Before they moved on, the BLACKPINK member asked why XingXing wanted to dance with her. The trainee explained that he has "gotten so much encouragement" from Lisa since he joined the show, adding that he likes her "very much."
He continued that the mentor is his "ultimate favorite." To prove this, he revealed that he was his "one-pick," which was why he did not try to go on to the other mentors' rooms.
The "BOOMBAYAH" rapper, then, asked about what he would do if she would not accept him on her team. XingXing expressed his confidence and stated that there was "no other option." He, also, emphasized that he would make it to Lisa's group.
The mentee's responses seemingly impressed the BLACKPINK idol. As a result, she immediately accepted him even without performing.
Aside from XingXing, Lisa, also, has other favorite trainees on Youth With You 3. Kbizoom previously named Tony as one of her top picks.
This, reportedly, became apparent in one of the previous choreographies showcased by the mentee. During his "Uranus" routine, Lisa gave a lot of praise and encouragement to him. This came after he provided an "impressive ending" to his performance.
The publication noted that Lisa "lost her seriousness" after seeing Tony's routines. She even called his name in a "very interesting way."
Later on, the K-Pop idol revealed that she was able to watch him in another show before Youth With You 3. She told him, as well, that she is "glad" to meet him and see his improvements.
Lisa always gives compliments and praises to the trainees. But, aside from her kind notings, she, also shares personal experiences and words of encouragement with them.
In one of the previous installments, the BLACKPINK member even shed a tear after sharing about her grandfather's passing on her birthday last month. This took place after learning about one of the mentees' father's death amid the show.
