Discussions between Prince Harry and his family to settle their issues have been stalled following various leaks to the press, which are supposedly coming from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's camp.

Reports from Page Six cited that aides in the royal palaces have grown concerned over the number of news stories appearing online surrounding Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle. These stories have been published as soon as Harry returned to the United States.

Some of these stories included Markle talking to Queen Elizabeth two times before the funeral of Prince Philip. The leaks also cited that Harry's focus upon his return to London was to be with family and to pay respects to his grandfather, who died at the age of 99 years old on April 9.

During the funeral itself, reports came out that Markle sent a wreath with a handwritten note for the royal family. However, a royal journalist from News.com.au said that no such information was relayed to the press about the wreaths set down beside the Duke of Edinburgh's coffin, suggesting that the story was disseminated from a Sussex insider or the couple themselves.

Daily Mail reported that Harry was able to talk to his father, Prince Charles, and his brother, Prince William, after the funeral. However, Charles wanted the discussion to take place between the three of them so as not to be misunderstood. This suggested that Charles does not trust Harry especially after he revealed details about this personal life to Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King.

Sources also said that William is quite uncomfortable talking to Harry over the phone because the latter might confide in King, who has her own show in the U.S. Harry has leaked their conversations to King before and she revealed this on television. William thought it was a "cheap shot" for his brother to "twist the truth" and inform other people outside of the family of the things they've discussed.

However, King has said that despite the palace insisting that the royal family should discuss their issues privately, they are also notorious for leaking information to the press. Allegedly, this has been the practice of the royal family's communications team for decades. Because of these leaks, royal aides said that the rift between Prince Harry and his family will take a long time to be resolved. Instead, it will create further hurt and mistrust on both sides.
