Blue Bloods season 11 finale will be a two-part event and it'll see the return of Joe Hill (Will Hochman). The character has been absent in the police procedural for quite some time now, but it's clear that he still has an essential role in the Reagan Family.

In a recent report from TV Insider, it has been confirmed that Gloria Reuben will be making an appearance in the Blue Bloods season 11 finale. The actress will reunite with her former Jesse Stone co-star, Tom Selleck, who plays Frank Reagan in the CBS series.

Reuben plays the role of Rachel Weber, a strong-willed Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Special Agent. She is in charge of undercover operative Det. Joe Hill, who happens to be Frank's newly-found grandson and hasn't been seen in the police procedural since the December 18, 2020, episode.

Joe decided to get away from the Reagans and his whereabouts remains unknown since then. He had a lot of a hard time accepting the fact that he's associated with the family, that's why he decided that it might be good for him to go elsewhere.

Joe's professional life has been hugely impacted ever since he learned that he's related to the Reagans and Frank is his grandfather. His relationship with his colleague was affected, as well. He was put in the spotlight, which is something that he isn't used to.

Blue Bloods season 11 finale may provide more information on where Joe went after he left. This is where Rachel Weber shows up in the picture and her arrival could bring several complications for the Reagans, especially for Frank.

Speaking with the aforementioned outlet, executive producer Kevin Wade discussed what would be the role of Reuben's character and how her arrival impacted the Reagans. He said that Weber and Frank will have a two-part battle since both of them have claims to Joe.

Wade explained that the two will have a sort of a role like "divorced parents who share custody and argue over what's best for the kid." However, the decision still all depends on Joe and where he wants to be, and this will be answered in the two-part episode.

The series may leave a cliffhanger that could center mostly on Joe. Although he desperately wants to escape the Reagans' shadows, something may happen that could change his mind. He might end up staying and accept that he's part of the family.

Blue Blood season 11 finale will be airing its two-part episode on Friday, May 14, on CBS.
